Be Radiant!
psalm 34:5 says "those who look to him are radiant, there faces are never covered with shame."Moses looked radiant when he came down from the mountain after being with God. Lincoln refused to hire somebody for his cabinet because of the way his face looked. The man had a fixed scowl on his face, Lincoln claiming that he had had fifty years or so to make his face look that way. What do we reflect; anger, depression, worry, lust, or joy, hope, etc... The very next verse says "this poor man called and the Lord heard him," a few verses later, "taste and see that the Lord is good." Do I reflect Him or do I broadcast "Workaholism," worry about how my next project will turn out. Do I trust Him for my finances. "This poor man called and the Lord heard him; he saved him out of all his troubles." There's no time like the present to tap into Him. Earlier in the psalm it said, "glorify the Lord with me; let us exalt His name together." Don't get all preachy, but don't hide Him either. Speak about Him in everyday language with an everyday voice. If you search for joy, hope, love, peace, and those things hard enough it will ultimately take you to Him, why not cut the search time in half and go directly to Jesus. Don't be ashamed of Him, He is the power of God unto salvation for those who believe. Throw away that shameful life. Seek His face, not His hand. If He can save you from not looking worried, it's only because He can first save you from not worrying.
